Events of Interest.

The success of our inaugural meeting on April 16 & 17, 2008 paved the way for a virtual meeting in Seattle, Washington in September 2008. We welcome innovative thinkers to join our working group dedicated to promoting collaboration, improved data collection and analysis, and publication regarding the global burden of surgical disease.

We are comprised of many professionals, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, public health and metrics specialists, epidemiologists, economists and other physician and doctoral scholars. Our diversity of backgrounds insure a dialogue that continues to expand and we are dedicated to fostering its development.

Inaugural Meeting: April 16-17, 2008.

Our inaugural meeting was a huge success thanks to the support of the University of Washington and Operation Smile, as well as the incredible enthusiasm of professionals dedicated to improving the health of the public in developing countries by focusing on surgical care.
